This 12 gauge ammunition from Federal can reliably take deer at 75 yards and beyond thanks to the TruBall slug's impressive accuracy.

Each 2-3/4" shell fires a one ounce (437.5 grain) slug which is stabilized in smooth-bore barrels with a plastic ball inserted between the wad and the projectile. This provides optimal centering of the slug in the barrel and results in extended range when a rifled barrel is not available or not practical. Federal TruBall slugs are loaded in Anoka, Minnesota.
