Traditional 410 bore shotshell loads have been a bit lacking when it comes to stopping power. Winchester's Defender load seeks to shake things up with a new configuration that offers better performance at both close and medium range.

These 2-1/2 shells fire 3 copper-plated disc shaped slugs and 16 pellets of BB size shot. The discs are designed to provide better penetration and stopping power, while the BB shot significantly increases hit probability and provides additional power.

The medium length of these shells makes them suitable for a wide variety of 410 firearms including non-magnum Judge variants and the S&W Governor.

These shells are loaded in boxes of 10 at Winchester's production facility in Oxford, Mississippi.
