Each shell throws two full ounces of #4 copper plated birdshot (not to be confused with #4 buckshot, which has a larger diameter) at a muzzle velocity of 1,300 feet per second. This configuration produces impressive accuracy at medium range. Recoil is on the heavy side, but since you usually only get one shot at a gobbler, all you need to worry about is getting a good pad on your shotgun.
