About This Luce 12 Gauge Ammunition

This shell doesn’t do anything extravagantly fancy – it’s just powerful, because it catapults nine individual pellets of double-aught out of the muzzle at a velocity of 1,350 fps. That’s approximately 1.1 ounces of shot, so you’re going to feel the recoil, but at extremely close range you’re also going to spread about 1,900 ft lbs of kinetic energy across nine separate points of impact.

Luce makes shot pellets out of hard lead. Deformation resistant lead preserves a shot pellet’s ballistically efficient spherical profile under the intense pressure of ignition, and it also promotes effectively deep penetration of the target. These high-brass shells are equipped with hinged wads, which squash down to absorb some recoil energy before it can get all the way to the shooter’s shoulder.     Bought 300 rds of this last month. Put 100 rds of it through my Benelli and Turkinelli M4s with zero malfunctions, both guns ran it perfectly. Great (relatively) cheap blasting ammo for the range.
