Rio’s lead is very hard, which provides a double benefit to performance by promoting denser shot patterns and ensuring several deep and debilitating would cavities.
This shell’s wad spreads its shot close together upon exiting the muzzle to deliver an even denser pattern still. Its hinged base compresses during ignition to noticeably soften recoil. Rio’s hulls have the consistent heads and tubes requisite for smooth functionality. (Their headstamps say Fiocchi, but these shells are indeed Rio’s own.)
