Personally, we prefer carrying a 50 BMG rifle for personal protection. Sure, it’s heavy. Sure, the ankle holster is uncomfortable. But at the end of the day, we just don’t feel safe unless we’re carrying enough firepower to down an aggressive Gotha G.V bomber.

But you? You’ve gone all the way in the other direction. You carry a 22 LR pistol for defense – probably because it has heaps less recoil than an M82, and is a bit easier to carry around as well.

That’s why you need … this ammo! Uppercut is CCI’s specialized self-defense label, and loaded with a 32 grain jacketed hollow point projectile. The bullet is substantial enough to penetrate deeply, and symmetrically skived so as to secure reliable expansion out of a barrel as short as 2.5”. The bullet also screams out of the muzzle. Its 950 fps muzzle velocity doesn’t suggest as much, but that low figure makes sense in light of the unusually short 4” test barrel CCI used to record it.
