The bullet’s metal jacket ensures that it will feed smoothly in your firearm whether it’s a bolt action or a semi-automatic, and also that it will be able to penetrate targets reliably. During penetration the bullet will expand to dramatically wider than its original dimension, greatly increasing the likelihood that at least one of your target’s vitals will get taken out -- or, in the case of smaller varmints, its entire torso.
