About This Sierra Bullets 223 Remington AmmunitionThis 223 Rem ammo, right here? Pure hot death as far as varmints are concerned. Sierra designs their Prairie Enemy line of ammunition so you can become a rodent’s worst nightmare.
This cartridge is furnished with a 55 grain BlitzKing projectile. On impact its hard green polymer tip slams into the nose cavity formed within its solid lead core, thus initiating lightning-fast terminal fragmentation. The varmint’s not going to run away – but it will go flying in multiple directions all at once.
The BlitzKing is carefully engineered and loaded to deliver superior in-flight ballistics. The bullet achieves a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.271 upon exiting a rifle’s barrel at 3,215 fps, so it drops very little as it maintains a flat trajectory. This bullet reaches 400 yards in half of one second, at which distance it retains over 410 ft lbs of energy.
Prairie Enemy ammunition is loaded with nickel-plated brass cases. These enhance smooth feeding in any semi-automatic rifle including the AR-15, as well as resist corrosion – crucial, if Mother Nature decides to complicate your varmint hunt by treating you to rainfall.
