Ammo Inc. identifies this round’s bullet as a total metal case, but that’s just another name for a total metal jacket. The TMJ looks exactly like a standard full metal jacket while it’s seated in the case. What makes the TMJ special is its base, which is completely covered by the bullet’s jacket (unlike an FMJ’s base, which is exposed). Ignition doesn’t burn any lead off of the TMJ’s core, which leads to overall cleaner performance. And thanks to Ammo Inc.’s proprietary Hyperclean Technology, even this ammo’s powder will deposit significantly less residue on the interior surfaces of your barrel and suppressor.

This ammo is loaded to standard pressure, so it delivers enough juice to cycle your semi-auto. Its subsonic muzzle velocity is the work of its extremely heavy 220 grain bullet. You’ll note steeper bullet drop, but you’ll also hear a far softer report than you’re accustomed to if you’ve only fired sub-200 grain 300 BLK ammo before.
