Silver State Armory loaded this 300 Blackout ammo with their parent company Nosler’s 220 grain Ballistic Tip Hunting projectile. Its advertised muzzle velocity is about 100 fps lower than the speed of sound – spot on if you’re including a suppressor on your hunt. The Ballistic Tip’s trajectory may drop off steeply, but at least it’s predictably steep thanks to the bullet’s streamlined polymer tip and deformation resistant heavy jacketed base.

The Ballistic Tip’s jacket is tapered to promote controlled expansion following impact at any practical velocity. The bullet’s copper jacket and alloyed lead core aren’t bonded, though they are both substantial enough to secure effectively deep penetration into medium game.
