This cartridge features Nosler’s own 175 grain Custom Competition projectile. The bullet has a marked boat tail, angled precisely to deliver a 0.260 G7 ballistic coefficient. With the very little amount of drag it creates in flight, a Custom Competition is able to maintain an exceptionally flat trajectory even after having flown hundreds of yards.

This round’s bullet has a needle-like hollow point meplat, which indicates that its lead alloy core was poured into place for exceptional rotational stability and also that its jacketed base provides a uniform surface against which propellant gasses can push. The jacket itself is concentric according to the tightest tolerances Nosler can achieve, which is to say very concentric indeed.

Nosler tended to these match rounds’ brass, ensuring that each casing is uniform in length, has a centered flash hole, and sports a perfectly concentric neck. Each round is given a meticulously formulated and weighed charge of clean burning propellant and match grade primer before it is inspected, polished, and placed in its box with its brothers.
