The SST’s jacket is doubly anchored to its alloyed lead core by an InterLock ring and a cannelure. While these features keep the bullet from tearing itself apart during high-velocity impact, the SST’s hard tip drives into its lead core’s nose cavity like a wedge, delivering immensely destructive terminal expansion inside the quarry.
