When Prvi Partizan first started out in 1928, they had to make ammo at the Stevan Nemanja barracks in Krcagovo, Yugoslavia. Today Prvi Partizan has a nicer and far more spacious factory in Užice, Serbia – precisely where they produce their Defense Line 357 Magnum ammo. This round’s official 1,607 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with an unusually long 10” test barrel. Although its muzzle energy out of a more conventional 6” barrel will fall short of 906 ft lbs, the 158 grain jacketed hollow point still packs plenty of punch for defensive shooting. The JHP’s symmetrical jacket slits help it fan out wider and at lower velocities, giving you added assurance that you brought enough firepower to a life-or-death situation.
