The hard cast bullet is preferred for defense against bears because it is too hard to undergo deformation, which in turn enables it to penetrate very deeply. But a hard cast poses another huge benefit when it comes to accuracy. Because the 21 Brinell hardness bullet doesn’t leave lead fouling on the barrel, it keeps a handgun’s trajectories much steadier over the course of a target shooting session.
