About This Glaser Safety Slug .40 Smith & Wesson Ammunition
Powrball hollow point ammunition from Corbon is a dependable carry load named for the polymer ball inserted in the bullet's expansion cavity. These .40 S&W cartridges fire a light 135 grain version of this projectile at a muzzle velocity of 1,325 feet per second. Upon contact with the target, the ball folds the metal components of the bullet outward into a high diameter mushroom to quickly stop the threat while blocking debris from interfering with the expansion process.Powrball bullets also have the added advantage of behaving like full metal jacket rounds when cycling, enhancing feeding reliability somewhat. Their light-bullet, high-velocity configuration lends itself to reliable expansion and a relatively low risk of overpenetration. Each box contains 20 rounds.
Corbon ammo is loaded in Sturgis, South Dakota and uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases.
