But an indoor range’s four walls will also trap in toxic fumes! This round’s armed with a total metal jacket projectile. Unlike an FMJ, which exposes its lead core to hot propellant gasses during ignition, the TMJ is 100% encapsulated by its jacket. The heat of ignition can’t aerosolize any part of the TMJ’s lead core! The 230 grain bullet’s 845 fps muzzle velocity (out of a 5” barrel) is pretty much apples-to-apples the same as a traditional 45 ACP load, so you’ll be able to train just like you’re accustomed.

Speer takes clean performance one step further courtesy of their Clean-Fire primer. The Boxer-style primer contains no lead, antimony or barium, so you’ll be staying even safer while you’re firing this ammo in an enclosed space.
