Back when the 45 Long Colt was introduced to the market, you could probably buy a box of it for the price of today’s pack of gum. We hate to say it, but you’ll never see ammo prices like that again.

See, when we accidentally damage new 45 Long Colt ammo’s packaging, we set that ammo aside rather than throw it away. Once we’ve accumulated enough, we weigh it into 20 pound batches (about 400 rounds) and load it into pristine .30 caliber field boxes. That’s what you’re looking at right here.

This ammo is all brass cased, so it shoots nice and clean and gives you that valuable reloading component once fired, and it’s all in excellent condition. Outside of that we can make no promises about these approximately 400 rounds’ manufacturers or bullet styles. There might be some American Cowboy LFN loads in there, a few Remington JHPs, or a whole lot of American Eagle JSPs.
