This 5.56x45 cartridge by Barnes offers both the accuracy and the terminal performance that will make any hunt a smashing success. It does so primarily thanks to its 62 grain TSX -- Barnes’ most popular hunting bullet. The TSX is made entirely of copper, and therefore at once spares a rifle’s bore from lead fouling, penetrates exceptionally deeply without losing any significant portion of its weight, and won’t contaminate the meat or soil that it winds up in. Still, in spite of its toughness, the TSX consistently enlarges to twice its initial diameter while producing four razor-like cutting petals during penetration.

This round’s bullet is a tack driver on top of that. It sports a boat tail to increase its ballistic coefficient, and the pressure relieving grooves that girdle its shank both lessen bore fouling and improve accuracy.
