About This FN Herstal 5.7 x 28 Ammunition

Maybe one day scientists will genetically engineer a new type of tree – a “Freedom Tree,” which sprouts 5.7x28mm ammunition, and which grows heartily in all North American climates (barring Canada). But until that day comes, we’ll just have to count on FN Herstal to deliver the goods.

Here are the goods: SS195LF spec ammunition, which is loaded with lightweight 27 grain projectiles that dependably achieve a ~2,132 fps muzzle velocity out of a 4” test barrel. The bullet is light because it does not contain one atom of lead. The copper-jacketed, aluminum-core bullet is accordingly suitable for hunting in lead-free jurisdictions and training at lead-free ranges. Even this round’s sealed primer is lead-free! The SS195LF cartridge is also suitable for defensive applications, as its jacketed hollow point bullet is engineered to undergo rapid terminal expansion.

This ammunition is reloadable, so make certain to collect its new solid brass cases after they’ve been spat out of your pistol or carbine. You get 10 boxes of ammo when you order the whole case – not to mention the Ammo Man’s legendary free shipping!
