About This Winchester 6.5MM CREEDMOOR Ammunition
Want true match-grade accuracy? Then you very well could load your own 6.5 Creedmoor precision loads. But what if you don’t have the equipment, or the time to labor over a fine piece of technology by Dillon Precision? Then you don’t have a problem. Match accuracy is right at your fingertips the instant you’re holding a box of Winchester Super Match! This cartridge sends a pretty heavy bullet for its caliber – not the heaviest, but definitely in long-range territory at 140 grains. That helps it hold on to more of its velocity as it bolts toward its target, and shrug off wind interference in the process. The bullet’s narrow hollow point presents a ballistically efficient meplat downrange. Its jacket concentricity and core uniformity both conserve stability, as does its large tapered tail.
In fewer words, the bullet is a hollow point boat tail: the sniper’s favorite, albeit unsuited to deer hunting.
Winchester takes every caution to ensure the smoothest, most reliable performance from Super Match. That includes loading match-grade primers, which ignite their charges without consistent variation.
