This round owes its low emissions to its 115 grain total metal jacket projectile. The TMJ does have a normal lead core, but unlike an FMJ its jacket covers 100% of its core’s surface area. The base of the bullet does not permit white-hot exploding propellant to aerosolize lead, so you can train more healthily at stuffy indoor ranges. The TMJ also reduces fouling within the barrel and action, so you’ll have an easier job when the time comes to clean your gear.
