About This Blazer 9mm Luger Ammunition
This 9mm cartridge features the same total metal jacket (TMJ) projectile that Speer’s Lawman label is famous for. A Blazer Clean-Fire, its 124 grain bullet sports a gilding metal jacket that shields its base as well as its tip and sides. Thanks to it, the heat of ignition can not aerosolize the lead in the bullet’s core, making for an altogether cleaner indoor shooting experience. The Clean-Fire is even truer to its name with its special Berdan primer, which contains no toxic barium, antimony, or lead to disperse upon ignition. This round is more affordably priced than Lawman ammo, however. It achieves that with its aircraft-grade aluminum shell casing, which is strong and exceptionally lightweight. The casing functions virtually identically to a brass one, but with its two flash holes and non-elastic metal construction it’s wholly unsuitable for handloading. If you didn’t intend to handload anyway, then there is little tradeoff to consider!
