This 9mm +P cartridge by IMI of Israel launches its 124 grain projectile at a muzzle velocity of 1,180 fps, thus making its muzzle energy over 80 ft lbs more powerful than the minimum threshold typically recommended for personal protection!

This is IMI’s Black Dot series ammunition, which is why its jacketed hollow point bullet’s tip is painted black. It looks neat, but it otherwise has zero impact on the bullet’s performance. What makes the di-cut JHP stand out is its jacket ogive, which is specially engineered to ensure fluid, flawless feeding into a semi-auto’s chamber. This round’s bullet is also designed to expand to at least 1.5 times its original diameter as it plunges into soft tissue.
