This is a magnum shotshell, with the 3” hull it needs in order to store approximately 1.5 ounces of 00 buckshot. Its powerful charge of powder propels the dozen 0.33” diameter spheres to a velocity of 1,325 fps, at which rate they become capable of taking down any medium game animal in the country.

This round’s lead shot is doubly protected against deformation. Each pellet is armored by a thin shell of hard copper, which wards off flattening that could have weakened pattern density or shortened penetration depth. The shot column is also packed with buffering – supple little granules that soak up recoil energy before it can deform the shot.

Federal couldn’t have chosen a better wad for this ammo than the FliteControl.
