This trap, skeet and sporting clays shotshell is loaded with just one ounce of shot, and its muzzle velocity is fairly modest (but still supersonic) at 1,185 fps. You may already realize what that means: forgiving recoil! Gun Club grade shot is chilled immediately after formation to promote greater hardness, which helps to prevent the sort of deformation that leads to stray pellets and weaker pattern density.

These shotshells are outfitted with Remington’s tight-patterning and recoil-softening Power Piston wads. Nonmercuric and noncorrosive STS primers spark up extra hot to promote near-simultaneous ignition of the clean-burning powder, and STS-style hulls are always a sure bet for handloading!
