This shell doesn’t have a lightweight shot column. Its 1-1/8 ounce payload gives the shell a 2-1/2 dram equivalent, however, so you must not expect it to function a semi-auto. Each #8 lead shot pellet is spherical and 0.090" in diameter (or darn close to it). It keeps its aerodynamic shape thanks to Remington’s shock-absorbing Power Piston wad (not to mention the shell’s aforementioned low-recoil performance).
