About This Fiocchi 20 Gauge Ammunition

This box of 25 shotshells, manufactured in Missouri by Fiocchi, is a great choice for bird or other small game hunting. The 20 gauge shell fires 1 1/4 ounces of #8 shot at 1,220 feet per second. It is designed to produce tight groups for good performance at extended shotgun ranges.

#8 bird shot measures about 2.26mm or a bit more than one twelfth of an inch in diameter. Too small for effective self-defense use, it serves as an excellent hunting cartridge against small birds. For self-defense, homeowners prefer more powerful buckshot loads capable of penetrating enough to cause incapacitation.
