About This Remington .22 Long Rifle Ammunition
It was three in the morning. The witching hour. I was fast asleep in my big, comfy bed when I was suddenly woken by inhuman noises. Before I could open my eyes, I felt a weight on my chest. About 5 ounces. I knew it could only be one thing … that which I dreaded above all else … a Northern Reticulated Chipmunk. It had come to sing high-pitched songs at me while stealing all my hazelnuts!Thank the Maker I had my gun ready. I aimed my trustiest 22 LR straight at the fur between the beast’s beady, adorable eyes and gave it the following sage advice before blowing it to Hades. “Never mess with a man who recently bought a whole case of Remington Standard V … punk.”
It wouldn’t have mattered if I’d fired a handgun or rifle. The subsonic cartridge still would have uttered a relatively quiet report on ignition. It also would have exhibited impressive accuracy if the rodential interloper had been far instead of near. And even though that 38 grain lead round nose bullet wasn’t built for expansion, it still managed to convert the Northern Reticulated’s cognitive processes into a fine mist. Ka-bang.
And the day is saved thanks to Remington! And also to the Ammo Man, which offers this BIG case of American-made ammo with free shipping.

Posted onTook out first 200rnds a few days ago. shot through Kidd Supergrade 24" at 25/50yrds. Chrono-Garmin Zero C1. It was cold out around 40deg. (note, I would expect higher fps out of shorter barrels)
78 shots, Avg: 990.5, StdDev: 26.0, min: 922.9, max: 1046.3, spread: 123.4
20 shots, Avg: 1001.2, StdDev 24.5, min: 951.8, max: 1055.6, spread: 103.8
With an avg Standard Dev around 25, it's OK ammo, but far from match grade (obviously).
It grouped well for what it is. For the price/rnd you really can't go wrong.
