Remington’s Subsonic series 22 LR ammunition isn’t just going to treat you to quieter performance. This high-quality ammo also offers the accuracy you need in order to do your best work whether you’re plinking, target shooting or hunting!This cartridge’s 40 grain bullet is backed by Remington’s high-quality primer and clean-burning propellant. The explosives only accelerate the bullet to a muzzle velocity of 1,050 fps (in a rifle). That’s 75 fps too slow to break the speed of sound – hence the round’s softer report.
The subsonic bullet does follow a pretty steep trajectory. If your sights are 1.5” above the bore line and you aim to a 50-yard zero, you can expect -8.6” drop at 100 yards. On the plus side, this ammo’s trajectories are highly consistent. A subsonic bullet completely avoids wobbling as a result of transitioning from supersonic to subsonic velocity!
Remington’s copper-plated bullet is just the ticket if you’re trying to keep your suppressor clean. And because it’s armed with a hollow point, the mostly lead projectile will mushroom out some after hitting a critter.
