About This Hornady 223 Remington Ammunition

Looking for a multitalented cartridge to run through your trusty rifle? One that’s at once able to dispatch of target, can, varmint, and home intruder alike? Then Hornady has got you covered with this 223 Rem round from their Frontier label. Loaded at the celebrated Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, it’s economical enough to shoot without worry yet well made enough to serve you well no matter your endeavors.

This round has its caliber’s common 55 grain projectile. Hornady’s signature concentric jacket provides great rotational stability, which alongside a fast 3,240 fps muzzle velocity gives you the flat trajectory you need to strike distant targets. Should that target be of the fleshy variety, then the bullet’s soft point will quickly initiate the kind of wide expansion which proves especially lethal.

A Frontier round’s brass is first rate, consistent enough to feed fluidly and strong enough to be reloaded multiple times. If you’d like to sit on this case of ammo indefinitely, the rounds’ military-quality non-corrosive primers will be happy to hibernate for you.
