About This Winchester 223 Remington Ammunition

Think the best cheese comes from France? That the best sushi comes from Japan? Or that the best sien savanh comes from Laos? Wrong. The best of anything necessarily comes from the United States of America, because it and by extension anything that comes from it is the best in the world. Our ammo is no exception.

Winchester’s USA line of ammunition is the one to entrust the outcome of any range session to. The 1,000 223 Rem cartridges in this case are intensely uniform one and all, with responsive non-corrosive primers, clean burning propellant, and strong brass that will behave perfectly even after you’re reloaded it a handful of times.

Each round in this box bears a 62 grain projectile, giving it ballistic performance comparable to the U.S. Army’s M855 (but without the steel penetrator tip, of course). As a full metal jacket this bullet feeds easy and goes easy on the barrel, which it exits at a velocity of 3,100 fps. The sleek bullet retains more than half that velocity after having flown 500 yards, suiting its trajectory well for precision shooting.
