This cartridge features the 100 grain Core-Lokt pointed soft point. It is one of the most popular (and successful) name brand bullets in the country, with a jacket that is embedded within its lead core. The tough bullet excels at conserving its weight upon striking its target, which in turn conserves the momentum that deep penetration hinges upon. The Core-Lokt may easily double in diameter before finally coming to a halt, which is pretty much certain to cook any big game animal’s goose (with proper shot placement, of course).
This cartridge’s 2,960 fps muzzle velocity begets a 0.356 G1 ballistic coefficient. If your sights are set 1.5” high above the bore line, then you can reasonably anticipate -7.44” drop 100 yards downrange of a 200-yard zero. Reloadable! Free shipping, too!
