Like its tip, the SST’s boat tail and secant profile jacket are both present to reduce drag. A 165 grain bullet isn’t the heaviest a 30-06 can have. But when its G1 BC tracks at 0.447, it can still tote 1,000 ft lbs of energy to around 690 yards.
