This round is loaded with a true seek-and-destroy bullet. The Super Shock Tip is sleek as an arrow – a true retainer of momentum, which overcomes air and wind as well as its 165 grain mass can carry it. The polymer-tipped dynamo gives whitetail no quarter as it expands quickly, widely, and with accompanying deep penetration.
A 24” test barrel supplied this round’s advertised 3,150 fps muzzle velocity. Hornady advertises it for whitetail hunting (it’s right there in the name), but we’re pretty sure any AMERICAN worth his biscuit can use it to bring down much larger deer than that.
