This ain’t your typical range load. Black Hills set out to make the 308 Winchester startlingly accurate by loading the cartridge with none other than Hornady’s ELD Match projectile. The non-expanding polymer tipped bullet isn’t good for hunting game larger than coyote, but no rifle range target is safe from it!

Hornady developed the ELD Match after Doppler radar testing confirmed that aerodynamic heating deforms conventional polymer tips. The proprietary Heat Shield tip is totally resistant to high temperatures, so you don’t have to worry about a melting meplat throwing the ELD Match off course.

The ELD Match’s hyper-concentric AMP jacket and evenly distributed core both enhance its rotational stability, and its ballistically efficient boat tail and secant ogive geometry place its G1 BC at 0.470. So aerodynamic a bullet retains a velocity above 1,150 fps by the time it reaches 1,100 yards, which is still well above the supersonic threshold!
