Its 158 grain conical lead nose bullet does not have a jacket, which presents a significantly reduced risk of injurious splash-back while you are firing at steel targets or against a rocky backstop. The CNL isn’t a wadcutter per se, although its broad meplat does behave similarly to a hole punch when it kisses a cardboard or paper target. The CNL is also an ideal bullet for a lever-action rifle, as it won’t accidentally ignite the primer it touches in the magazine.
