Posted onAlthough I have considerable professional experience with firearms, both in the US Army Ordnance Corps and as a career Federal Criminal Investigator, now retired, my opinion here just that, that is, my opinion and is based on the fact that Federal has consistently produced top quality ammunition that is reputed to consistently meet published specifications, and the HST hollow point is probably as effective as any. I've been using it for a long time, but I can't say how long except that I have an old HST box with a gun store price sticker still on it that says $19.95.
I might add that I haven't had any stoppages. When I have had stoppages with my 1911's, it has always been the fault of the magazine, particularly when I've cut corners and bought on the cheap. -
