This cartridge is loaded to the military’s M193 specs. It’s standard issue for the M16A1 rifle but also suitable for any 5.56 AR-15. The bullet is a simple enough specimen, with a full metal jacket that inhibits feeding jams and rapid barrel leading and a boat tail base which enables the projectile to reserve more momentum and accordingly fly along a flatter trajectory. The 55 grain bullet’s boat tail also protects against wind drift.
