This is pretty much the most basic type of 5.56 on the market. Each M193 spec cartridge features a 55 grain full metal projectile. At that weight the bullet is going to produce the recoil energy and the trajectory most AR-15 fans are already well accustomed to, and its jacket is hard enough to ward off the kind of deformation that causes failures to feed and poor accuracy. Winchester’s FMJs may be economical, yet they contain zero steel and are accordingly completely nonmagnetic.

This ammo has non-corrosive Boxer primers and brand new brass cases: the hallmarks of reloadability! Take note that this ammo’s cases were not polished up after they were annealed. As the result they’re discolored, but that’s solely cosmetic.
