This 6.5mm Creedmoor round from Hornady’s Outfitter line of ammunition is crowned with a 120 grain GMX projectile. The GMX owes its inability to foul a rifle’s bore with lead residue to its one-piece copper alloy construction, and accordingly is permissible for use in the state of California. What’s more, this monolithic bullet is inherently able to retain as 95 percent of its weight during penetration, so it creates a deep wound channel in its wake. The GMX’s polymer tip not only commences expansion up to 1.5 times the bullet’s starting diameter upon impact, but along with its long and sleek profile, crimping cannelure, and pressure relieving grooves is able to accurately toward its target.
