The 7.62x51 is virtually identical to the commercial 308 Win in terms of its dimensions. It’s just loaded to a teensy tiny bit lower pressure. That means this ammo by IMI is stellar for target shooting with most any firearm that is chambered for 308!

This military-grade round features a 150 grain bullet, which is a mere three grains heavier than the Army’s standard M80 load. IMI doesn’t fortify their 7.62x51 bullet with steel, so this round’s nonmagnetic bullet is fit for nit-picky indoor ranges. The FMJ’s balanced components and streamlined profile deliver satisfying target-grade accuracy, though it won’t mushroom outward should it plow into soft tissue. Bad pick for hunting!
