Want ammo just like what the military trains with? These Winchester Service Grade cartridges aren’t “like” that at all, because they genuinely are for military training exercises! Winchester just made a little more of them than the uniforms need, so they are very kindly sharing them with us regular folks.

This round’s 147 grain bullet is built for target shooting and training. A full metal jacket, it hasn’t got any of the bells and whistles that amplify the damage it inflicts during penetration. What that jacket will do, however, is spare your rifle’s bore from quickly becoming a leaden mess, promote smooth feeding in any type of firearm, and aid penetration of less conventional plinking targets. (Your washing machine knows what lies in store for it if it ever disobeys you by breaking.) This bullet’s ballistic coefficient is heightened by its boat tail, and accordingly it provides great accuracy with its improved resistance to crosswinds and relatively greater velocity downrange.
