About This Red Army Standard 7.62 x 54R Ammunition

You appreciate the 308 Win just as much as any other red-blooded American. But you are also a man of the world, and you have nothing but respect for the 7.62x54r – the second oldest cartridge still used in regular combat service. If your Mosin-Nagant is hungry, here are 500 treats you can feed it!

If you’re familiar with Russian-made ammunition, then you already know that this ammo’s 148 grain full metal jacket bullets will attract a magnet. That is because they wear bi-metal jackets, which are cheaper to manufacture because they are made of copper-washed steel. Bi-metal jackets don’t impact performance in any appreciable way – just take care not to plan on firing this ammo at ranges which ixnay “magnetic” ammo.

This ammo’s steel cases should treat your rifle just fine – they’re just worthless to handloaders, because inelastic steel doesn’t return to its original dimensions after ignition. Red Army Standard ammo is made for Century International Arms by Tulammo. It’s new production, and its Berdan primers are wholly noncorrosive. Free shipping on your entire order when it includes this case of ammo!
