About This Russian Surplus 7.62 x 54R AmmunitionHOLY RUSTY RUSSKIES, BATMAN!
Check out these utterly terrible looking 7.62x54r cans! I bet you've never seen anything look so terrible! But I also bet you've not seen such a beautiful price on 7.62x54r like this in a long time either!
SOLD AS-IS; NO RETURNS!
These 7.62x54r "SilverTip" 148 grain FMJ rounds were sealed in their protective steel cans way back in the 1970s and man have these poor cans done their duty! Although the outside might look terrible, the ammo inside is still (mostly) fresh. I won't lie to you, while we don't think the cans have been eaten all the way through, we can't guarantee it so that's why we're offering these bad boys at such a low price! Given the condition of the cans, I'd recommend them only for those folks looking to get in some immediate (at least this year) range time with their beloved Mosin Nagant rifle.
The "SilverTip" nickname given to the projectile in these rounds is because they have a touch of silver-colored paint on their tips in order to designate that these rounds have a mild steel core. This means these beauties won't be allowed on ranges that forbid "magnetic" ammo (they're not "armor-piercing" though, those are the naughty black-banded cans) . Also, these rounds are considered corrosive, so spend some of that money you saved in buying these "blemished" cans and invest in some CLP for your Mosin and clean'er every time you take 'er to the range! She'll love you long time if you do!
Also, as always, spam can openers not included.
