Federal’s Syntech PCC line of ammunition will give you the silky-smooth functionality you’ve always wanted out of your 9mm carbine! You can fire this ammo in any compatible pistol, but you’ll best appreciate its special bullet profile and 1,140 fps muzzle velocity in conjunction with a carbine-length barrel. (Federal specifically measured this ammo’s muzzle velocity with a 16” test barrel; expect a slower muzzle velocity if you run this ammo through a pistol.)

This ammo showcases Federal’s Total Synthetic Jacket (TSJ) projectile. It cannot expand, and it is a poor choice for self-defense. What the polymer-jacketed solid point bullet will do is eliminate lead and copper fouling of the barrel, drastically reduce friction to effectively prolong the barrel’s lifespan, and help to prevent harmful splash-back – a welcome advantage if you’re shooting steel targets or your range has a rocky backdrop.

The base of the TSJ’s lead core is fully shielded by its jacket, so hot propellant gasses cannot produce aerosolized lead for you to breathe in.
