Federal's Hydra-Shok series is a time tested defensive load, commonly used by CCW holders and law enforcement officers. The Hydra-Shok's distinctive center post design helps it expand reliably for better terminal effectiveness against threats.This 9mm version of the Hydra-Shok fires a balanced weight 124 grain jacketed hollow point that delivers good expansion and penetration. As a standard pressure load, it delivers a muzzle velocity of 1,120 feet per second and relatively mild recoil even in compact pistols like the Glock 26, SIG P938, or S&W M&P Shield.
These cartridges come in convenient boxes of 50 and use non-corrosive Boxer primers and nickel-plated brass cases.

Posted onI have carried this round for 20 years, rotating them out every two years it doesn't produce heavy carbon buildup and I've never had a round give me a problem. S&W 659 and Glock 19.
