About This Sterling 9mm Luger Ammunition
People often come to me and say “Hey! Ammo Man! What exactly is it that makes you an Ammo Man? Is it because you don’t have any ammo?” I just shake my head and laugh. It’s quite the opposite, in fact. I’m the Ammo Man because I’ve got oodles of ammo. Some of it – such as this whacking big 1,500-round case of Sterling Steel 9mm – even comes with free shipping!Sterling ammo is made by Turaç in the sunny country of Turkey (I’m assuming it’s sunny there; could be rainy at this very moment, but I digress). The company has been at it since 1987, and possesses the ISO 900 certification which stands for modern operating practices and pervasive standardization of its products.
This isn’t Sterling’s most expensive 9mm range/target ammo. That’s because it features steel components, which greatly reduce the amount of copper the manufacturer had to invest in its creation. Its cases are steel: cheaper than brass, and not reloadable (unless you’re a madman with more free time than anyone has any business having). Its bullets are jacketed in steel as well (with a skosh of copper wash to make them prettier).
In case you have any doubt, this ammo’s bullets will attract a magnet. Many ranges don’t allow such bullets on their premises, as they pose a higher chance of damaging their equipment, as well as creating sparks when they scrape against hard surfaces.

Cheap range ammo

Posted onI used this ammo on my Glock26 and it had many misfires and we all know that Glock hand guns will run through any type of ammo without problem. This ammo company used cheap powder and hard caps. Even when a double strike and won’t set it off, you know the ammo is cheaply made. Also, the bullets were tumbling through the target and you can see where it struck the paper. It left an elongated holes instead of a round hole. For using at the range I guess it’s okay but I will never buy this ammo again and don’t recommend it to anyone else unless you don’t care because of it’s low price. I’ll stick to wolf or magtech for my range ammo from now on.

Bad range ammo!
How quickly did your order arrive? How likely are you to recommend this product to a friend?
Posted onI had at least two misfires in every other box I fired using my Glock 26 and everyone knows that Glock will eat all types of ammo without any hiccup. This ammo company must have used cheap hard primer because it didn’t even fire after second strike. Also, the powder used in this ammo is dirty and some of the bullets tumbles when striking the target. You can see on the target that the bullet holes were elongated not a normal round holes. I guessed it’s okay for a range day ammo if you don’t mind losing a few rounds here and there to misfire and tumbling bullets. If you think about keeping this ammo in your daily cary guns, DON’T! I won’t be buying this ammo any more, it doesn’t matter how cheap it is. Maybe that’s why it’s so cheap!

Feeding Problems
How quickly did your order arrive? How likely are you to recommend this product to a friend?
Posted onHad feeding and extracting problems with this ammo specifically in my Glock 47, Glock 48, and my wife's Walther PDP-F. When chambering a round, it felt tight and sticky loading into battery. It was extremely tight fitting in both Glock & Walther magazines. It was also very tight fitting in both barrels causing many malfuctions, failure to feed and extracting.
