About This Wolf 223 Remington Ammunition
Available here in a 500 round case, this Wolf ammunition comes from Russia and uses a variety of alternative cartridge materials to deliver a good shooting experience at a significantly decreased cost. The most noticeable feature of this .223 Remington ammo is the steel case, which is much cheaper to produce than a brass case thanks to the low cost of iron ore in Russia. Although steel cases cannot be reloaded, they do come with a polymer coating that ensures good feeding and ejection in your AR-15 or other .223/5.56 rifle. If you like blasting away at the range without worrying about stooping to pick casings off the floor, this load is by far your best bet.These rounds use a 62 grain bimetal full metal jacket bullet and non-corrosive Berdan primers. Due to their magnetic properties, not all indoor ranges permit bimetal jacketed ammo.

Posted onMy Ar jammed for the first time using this ammo! I was surprised because I use the Tulammo with great results! Maybe just got a bad case? I have a casing jammed tight in the chamber as I type this review! I don't think I'll get this ammo anymore! Sticking with Tulammo!

Posted onShipping was very fast! I will admit that I was hesitant about buying this ammo. As I loaded magazines, I became even more weary. The rounds would not smoothly load into pmags and hexmag. They felt very tight and slow to move down in the magazines. However, once I charged my rifle, and fired my first shot, no problems. Put 100 rounds down range without any failure to feed (my main concern based on loading them into magazines), failure to fire or failure to eject. I will come back to the wolf 223 62 grain.

Posted onI shoot 62gr and my Son in Law purchased a couple of cases of this 62gr Wolf ammo and I got to run some of it through both of my M4's, a Windham and an FN. Had no ftf and it grouped as well as I can shoot. Also, unlike the Wolf of about a decade ago the "modern" Wolf polycoated ammo doesn't shoot any dirtier than American made practice grade ammo and feeds and functions just as well as the MUCH pricier brass cased American brands. Good price, GREAT ammo that allows you to buy more so you can improve your skills! Truly a "best buy"!!!

Posted onThe wolf 62 grain 223 ammo ran flawlessly through my tactical Mini-14 with great accuracy. I have been shooting Wolf Ammunition for over 20 years in the same firearms that I bought 20 years ago. The powder is somewhat dirty but if you keep your gun cleaned and maintained it shoots the same as the day I took it out of the box with the Wolf Ammunition.

Posted onI purchased this ammo and was skeptical about using it. I wanted something cheaper to use at the range. I love shooting my AR. I miss the trigger time from my Marine Corps years. The price of ammo is so high and I have never heard good things gs about using Steel cased ammo. But I thought what the heck and ordered 500 rounds. Went to the range and the ammo fired flawlessly. No failure to feed or to fire. No jams what so ever. Kept a decent group at 100 yds. I will definitely buy more. Good price for some range rounds.
