There’s no law stating that you can’t fire this ammo in any 30-06 Springfield rifle you please. It’s loaded to a *lower* chamber pressure than standard, which means it’s extra gentle on all makes and models.

But that lower chamber pressure serves a specific purpose. It’s why the ammo satisfies M2 ball specifications, and is therefore ideally suited to an M1 Garand and its finicky operating rod!

Its lighter 150 grain full metal jacket bullet and lower 2,740 fps muzzle velocity both make this ammo a shade weaker than normal. Granted, it’s exactly as powerful as the 30-06 Americans used to win WWII, but it’s weaker than the average 21st century hunting ammo all the same. But that’s really of no matter, seeing as how the FMJ is only optimal for target shooting anyway.
