30 CARBINE TULA 110 GRAIN FMJ (1000 ROUNDS)

If you're looking for inexpensive range ammunition for your M1 or other .30 Carbine gun, look no further. These cartridges from Tula come in a whopping 1,000 round case and fire a standard weight 110 grain bimetal jacketed bullet at a muzzle velocity of almost 2,000 feet per second.

This ammunition is made with non-corrosive Berdan primers at the Tula Cartridge Works in Russia. Tula ammo is often less expensive than the competition thanks to its use of steel cases with polymer coatings for better cycling. Although not reloadable, the steel cases are considerably less expensive than their brass counterparts.

  • Accurate but Dirty - Great Budget Buy

I have an early production Plainfield M1 Carbine (Mil Spec) and I use Good WWII era magazines with well over 500 rds of this cheap ammo and it has been Fantastic! Only issues were feed problems that occurred until I started using real US GI magazines. New magazines "rock" in the mag well. The older ones are made much better and don't rock. Accuracy at 100 yards was 2" groups average on point of aim. Velocity is a bit lower than advertised. 14 rds fired - slowest was 1867fps and highest 1915fps with an average of 1889fps. At 200 yards groups opened only up to 3&1/2" average with little to no wind. This stuff is dirty so Clean your Carbine Soldier!
Bottom line is this stuff Is Good! For plinking, having fun and If your on a budget and have good magazines - You can't go wrong! All those who had issues, sorry about that. Go get Real WWII/Korean War Era magazines and you too can have an excellent experience. If you bought a bunch and want to just get rid of it, I'll take it off your hands. My gun loves this stuff.

  • From my experience avoid ALL Tula ammo

Of all the imported steel cased ammo there is NONE worse than the ammo produced by Tula. As for this .30 M1 carbine chambering I haven't purchased any but my Son in Law did and though Ammoman did their job in getting the order to him QUICKLY, the ammo was junk. It is like the old white box Russian/Ukranian ammo of 20 years ago. Filthy and inconsistent. Tula users have probably provided negative reviews to really quality steel cased ammo like Wolf and even the slightly lesser Bear ammo simply because the other good quality brands happen to have steel cases like the crap they bought when purchasing Tula ammo. ALSO NEVER spray your ammo with WD-40 or ANY other penetrant type of product as it WILL weep into the powder and WILL result in duds. The newer (as in what 8 years ago now?) Wolf ammo and its Polymer coating provides more than enough lubrication if one needs it.

Filled my new 30 round Mil-spec mags and went out with one this evening. The rounds would not feed at all until the last 4 or so rounds. I know I'm not supposed to lub rounds but I might use that stupid fish oil based WD-40 on another mag tomorrow but this is not how it is supposed to be. I have a (nearly) full 1,000 of these. BTW, I never fill a mag all the way.
